Reichert Life Sciences had the opportunity to attend the 29th Annual Symposium of the Protein Society — a prominent scientific forum where scientists, researchers and professionals gathered to learn about the latest developments in protein science last month in Barcelona, Spain. The meeting featured prestigious speakers, numerous workshops and networking opportunities for educators, professionals and students alike.

This year’s meeting brought together an international set of attendees who stopped by the Reichert booth to learn about the NEW Reichert4SPR - Reichert’s 4-channel, surface plasmon resonance instrument for label-free, real-time investigation of biomolecular interactions.

Attendees were impressed by the system’s high-quality performance, particularly its ability to perform analysis on crude samples, lysates and aggregates. They also were interested in the affordable cost and small carbon footprint that would create a more environmentally friendly lab.

Since the majority of attendees were from academia, publishing requirements were often discussed over the four-day conference. Labs need to objectively quantify information to publish data, which increased interest in the Reichert4SPR portfolio.
