Manufacturing Precision Scientific Equipment Since 1838
Our roots go all the way back to 1838, when Charles Spencer founded Spencer Optical and developed the first American-made microscope. (Spencer’s company eventually became part of the Leica Group, which then became part of Reichert.)
Today, Reichert Life Sciences — a US-based company — is one of the most well known names in ophthalmology, manufacturing some of the most advanced clinical and analytical instruments available. Whether we are designing refractometers or SPR instruments, our goal is the same: to help people work effectively on a wide array of life science research.
